Sharp is a program designed and administered by the US Department of Labor. It recognizes employers who have used OSHA’s On-Site Consultation Program services and operate an exemplary safety and health program. The Sharp program focuses only on one project at a time and the project must meet a set of criteria to be considered (duration, contract value, etc.) This year, D&D celebrated the successful completion of their second Sharp project, the National Guard Readiness Center in Wilmington, NC. Commissioner Cherie Berry and OSHA representatives Chuck Murdock and Jiles Manning presented Daniels & Daniels, along with five subcontractors, with a Sharp Flag and Certificate at the January ceremony. Jim Daniels Sr., a founder of the company, was in attendance and helped D&D receive their flag. After all, the successful safety culture started with him and his brother Ben 50 some years ago.
