01 Jun Breaking Ground in Mount Olive
Daniels and Daniels broke ground on two Mount Olive projects this June. The Rogers Chapel Renovation project at the University of Mount Olive will be a meaningful upgrade to the heart of the campus. The original chapel building was built in 1974 and is used as a place for worship, reflection, and prayer. Board Chair Earl Worley spoke about the mission of the University to be a faith-based and value-centered institution. He said, “Given all that is happening in the world around us, this certainly is the right project, at the right time, for all of the right reasons.”
Less than 5 miles down the road from UMO, Daniels and Daniels is also working on a corporate airplane hangar for the Mount Olive Municipal Airport. This airport, which once was a field and a strip of grass, is now a major contributor to the local economy and the growth of the town. This new hangar will be able to accommodate a private jet size aircraft and will have offices and a conference room for meetings and special functions. The project will be completed by December of this year.
